Continued investment in Concord Hospital is vital for our community. In 2022, a $341 million redevelopment was completed at Concord Hospital and included a new Clinical Services Building and Comprehensive Cancer Centre, which was completed in 2022.
You have told me how important it is that our growing population is able to access healthcare services close to home without having to travel out of the area. I am fighting to ensure Concord Hospital receives the funding and resources it deserves.
New Car Park at Concord Hospital
Works have begun to construct a new car park at Concord Hospital. The $32.4 million expansion includes a new five-level multi-storey car park increasing parking capacity at the hospital to over 2,300 spaces. Works are expected to be completed in late 2024 and temporary parking arrangements are in place during construction.
Stage 1 Redevelopment of Concord Hospital
In 2022, the former NSW Liberal Government built the $341 million Stage 1 Redevelopment of Concord Hospital, named the Rusty Priest Building.
The new Clinical Services building delivered:
- Comprehensive Cancer Centre
- National Centre for Veterans Healthcare News
- Aged Care & Rehabilitation Service
- Australia’s first National Centre for Veterans’ Healthcare
- Increased inpatient and outpatient capacity
- Improved access with dedicated drop-off zone for patients.
